My First Experience with Rock Music…

In 2007, when I was fifteen years old, the center of students of my secondary school made the “Rock Pingüino Festival”, this was a competition of all school bands of my town. All the schools of my town!

My parents were very demanding with me (well, they still are) and they not wanted me to let go. I wanted to go, I needed to go, not only because I love the music, but also I had written a song for my friends of “Prohibido Prohibir” band and they invited me to the show. Then, I occurred to invite my trash metal uncle and he accepted!  I told my parents that I was going with him, and the rest is history...

When we arrived, my friends tell me: -We have a surprise for you!  I scared, and then, I said: - What? What happened? - Jaime (drummer and leader) looked me into the eyes and said me that it was not a bad surprise. I believed him.

Later, in the middle of show of my friends, Jaime took the microphone and said:  Pilar, Come here! This is your song… My face turned red, because I was (I am) bad singer, but I was very happy with the invitation and I accepted to sing the chorus!!

 I knew by comments that the show was “not so bad” XD, but the memories are the best!!!

Ludwing Von Bertalanffy: the man behind the Theory of Systems

Today, I write about the author of General Theory of Systems: Mrs. Von Bertalanffy. He born in 1901, in Austria. He studied in the University of Innsbruk and the University of Viena. Also, he obtain a scholarship of Rockefeller Fundation for study in the University of Chicago.

From the field of biology, which he suggested a theory of open systems in physics and biology (1950), he devised an explanation of life and nature as a complex system. This system is subject to interactions and dynamics. More later, he moved the analysis to social reality and to structures of organization with the name of General Theory of Systems. After three decades of development, this proposition appeared in the book with the same name (1969).

I like him, because I considered that he was a visionary. From his theory we can to understand the organizations as an integrated whole, where each part is important. Also, included the environment factor as a variable that influences in the organization, and therefore, in the management decisions.

Fiesta Mechona: not yet for me...

I've never gone to the Fiesta Mechona. This does not mean that I am boring, but I live far far away and I don’t have bus for back to home in those hours. And this year was no exception.

But, I copper revenge in the next day. I gone to the class of Moras in the morning and then, Katherine, Alexander, Daniel and me met in the Alexander’s apartment. In this place we shared some beers and sandwichs.

Later the fun began: we played to “Cultura Chupística” (Daniel’s idea) and Kathy propused: “things in a woman's handbag”! Everything was normal until Alexander said: “anovulatorios”! We looked and then, our laughter was heard throughout the building.

I had fun a lot! But, I hope go to the Fiesta Mechona in the next year!!!
